J.T. Poston
almost broke through last week, finishing T2. He has three top-six finishes in his last four tournaments. He won the Wyndham Championship in 2019 and offers a good bit of value, especially in this field. He did miss the cut here in 2020 and 2021 before finishing T21 here last year, but given his recent play, he’s a smart pick again this week.
Sungjae Im
is the favorite but has missed two cuts in his last three tournaments. He did finish T20 at the British Open and has three top-nine finishes at the Wyndham Championship in his last four starts, including that second-place result a year ago. He finished T6 here in 2019, T9 in 2020 and T24 in 2021.
Russell Henley
finished T4 back in April at the Masters and has seven top-ten finishes in his last 11 tournaments. His approach game is strong, and he has three striaght top-nine finishes at the Wyndham Championship, including a T5 in 2022 as he gained 10.64 strokes with his ball-striking. He finished T31 here in 2019, T9 in 2020 and T7 in 2021.
Eric Cole
has not missed a cut in seven straight events and has four top-30 finishes in that stretch. He came in T6 at the Canadian Open, and his putting and approach game are strong. This is his first Wyndham Championship.
Stephan Jaeger
has made the cut in 11 straight events and in 15 of his last 16. His worst finish in the last four events was a T34, and he came in T9 at the Rocket Mortgage Classic. He finished T13 here in 2022, with his only sore point a 1.11 stroke loss around the green.
Byeong Hun An
came in T3 at the Scottish Open and T23 at the British Open. His 2023 has been solid as his ball striking has improved. He finished third here in 2019, and he also had a strong T18 here in 2015 as he gained 12.1 strokes with his ball striking. He finished T35 here two years ago as well.
Cameron Davis
cracked the top ten last week and has two top-17 finishes in his last three strats. He came in T15 here three years ago and T22 the year before that.
