Kentucky vs Georgia NCAAF Odds and Prediction for Week 6

Posted on October 5, 2023 by Aaron Rodriguez
#20 Kentucky at #1 Georgia NCAAF Odds for Week 6 - Kentucky vs Georgia

Kentucky vs Georgia: Mark Stoops has added another big name to the 2024 Kentucky Wildcats recruiting class with the commitment of Brian Robinson, a four-star outside linebacker. He is ranked #77 overall by Rivals and #5 at his position. He plays at Westerville North High School in Youngstown, Ohio, and he had offers from Michigan, Penn State, Georgia, and Notre Dame. As an EDGE rusher, Robinson will give the Wildcats even more credibility going into next season.

College Football Odds #20 Kentucky vs #1 Georgia: Right now, the Wildcats head to Athens against Georgia, as two unbeaten teams square off for the inside track to the SEC East title. Check out our NCAAF betting prediction for this prime-time showdown.

When: Saturday, October 7, 2023, 7:00 pm ET
Where: Sanford Stadium, Athens, GA
TV: ESPN
Radio: No National Broadcast

NCAAF Odds: Georgia -14.5 / O/U 48.5 // Kentucky +430 / Georgia -600

Why should you bet on the Wildcats?

Kentucky’s offense goes through tailback Re’Mahn Davis, who started his college path in Philadelphia at Temple University. He then transferred to Vanderbilt in 2021, playing for Clark Lea, and in 2022 he broke the 1,000-yard barrier. That brought the bigger schools by to inquire about him transferring, and now he’s part of a powerful Kentucky offense.

Quarterback Devin Leary also came through the transfer portal, and the duo has delivered a 5-0 start for the Wildcats. Looking at physicality and talent, the Wildcats have a quarterback-tailback pair that measures up with just about every other SEC school. The Bulldogs come in off a struggle at Auburn, and Kentucky looks to take advantage of the defensive woes that Georgia had from time to time, particularly in the rushing game.

Why should you put your money on the Bulldogs?

The running game is key to establishing momentum for the Georgia offense. However, once they get the tailbacks going, quarterback Carson Beck has shown he can make big plays down the field. In the Bulldogs’ win over Auburn last week, Beck led the Bulldogs to converting eight of ten third downs. He did miss some throws early, but he calmed down and found a confident rhythm quickly.

And then there’s Brock Bowers, the top tight end in the nation. Once Georgia establishes the ground game, linebackers can’t cheat back into coverage, which gives Bowers room to dominate the middle of the field. From that point on, it’s hard to stop the Georgia attack. The problem with this line is that Georgia still hasn’t covered a single point spread all season. Can they really beat this Kentucky team by more than two touchdowns?

Kentucky vs Georgia Final Score and Prediction

I’m not sure which Georgia team will show up – the one that was demolishing teams and taking care of business last season, or the efficient problem-solving team that gets wins without blowing out the opposition this year. I see this game turning into more of a defensive struggle, and I see Georgia winning – but in a struggle. I predict a final score of Georgia 23, Kentucky 16.
