The Seattle Seahawks view themselves as contenders in the NFC and showed it when they acquired Leonard Williams ahead of the trade deadline. They carry a 5-2 record east with them when they take on the Baltimore Ravens. The Ravens have been rejuvenated by Lamar Jackson, who ranks third in the league in completion percentage and only has three picks on the year. Those numbers are unusual for him in recent years and have Baltimore fans excited. Seattle quarterback Geno Smith has been inconsistent lately, with five turnovers in the last three games, but the Seahawks topped Cleveland a week ago and now have the opportunity to stop another team with an elite defense. This line opened at Baltimore -4.5 and has grown quickly since then, so will the Seahawks prove the sports betting world wrong, or will the Ravens deliver another big win? Why should you bet on the Seahawks?
Seattle looks to make it three wins in a row on Sunday. They needed a late touchdown this past week to escape the Browns at home, and adding Leonard Williams to the front seven on defense should make the Seahawks even more difficult to score on. Geno Smith had a solid game against the Browns, with 254 passing yards and two scores, but he also had two picks. Those turnovers have to go away if the Seahawks really plan to contend. Kenneth Walker III was the top rusher with 66 yards on eight carries.
On defense, the Seahawks permit an average of 19.7 points per game. Against Cleveland, they were right at that average, allowing 20. They will need a similar plan in place if they want to cover or perhaps even win against the Ravens. Baltimore can pound the ball on the ground with Gus Edwards or Lamar Jackson keeping the ball himself, so the Seahawks need to sell out up front to keep the Ravens in third-and-long situations.

Seahawks vs Ravens Week 9 Odds
Why should you put your money on the Ravens?
The Ravens would make it four wins in a row with a victory. They trailed Arizona by seven in the early going last week, but then they came back to tie the game and just kept the scoring going. The Ravens score 25.3 points per game. Their passing game only averages 207.6 yards per game, but the running game averages 143.1. Lamar Jackson only threw for 19 yards and a score against Arizona, as the running game carried a lot of the offense – Gus Edwards carried the ball 19 times for 80 yards and three scores. Tight end Mark Andrews was a focus in the pass game, catching four balls for 40 yards and a score.
The Ravens’ defense leads the league in fewest points permitted, with 15.1. That includes the 24 points they allowed Arizona last week. Wide receiver Odell Beckham Jr (stomach) is the biggest name on the questionable list for this week. If you like the Ravens, you see their running game slicing and dicing the Seahawks like they did against Detroit a few weeks back, and you see the defense forcing Geno Smith into multiple mistakes.

Seahawks vs Ravens Final Score and Prediction
It looks like the Ravens have woken up from a malaise that had them down for a few seasons, but they are back. I’m not sure Seattle can hang with them. I predict a final score of Baltimore 30, Seattle 20.
